Subscription Terms

1. Monthly or annual subscriptions
ASA Speech Pro and ASA Text Pro are offered as a monthly or an annual subscription, depending on the plan selected by the customer. The billing interval you select is shown before purchase, together with the total amount payable including applicable tax. Billing then follows the selected interval, and each plan grants access to a specific set of features and included allowances, as described at checkout.
1a. ASA Speech Recognition subscriptions
ASA Speech Recognition is a separate digital subscription product with its own entitlement, sold as a monthly subscription at EUR 9.99 net or an annual subscription at EUR 99.99 net, plus applicable tax. All of these Subscription Terms — automatic renewal, cancellation, access after cancellation, failed payments, price and feature changes, refunds and taxes — apply to ASA Speech Recognition in the same way as to our other subscription products.
1b. ASA Speech Recognition free trial
ASA Speech Recognition includes a free trial of three (3) days, granted through your ASA account so that you can test the service before purchasing a paid subscription. The free trial requires no payment method, is not itself a recurring subscription, and is not billed by our payment provider. The trial does not convert into a paid subscription automatically. Paid access begins only when you actively choose a paid monthly or yearly subscription and complete the payment shown before confirmation.
2. Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. The renewal interval matches the interval you selected: a monthly plan renews monthly, an annual plan renews annually.
3. Cancel anytime
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. There are no cancellation fees. Cancellation stops the future automatic renewal — it does not end your current billing period, does not refund the current period and does not immediately revoke access. Cancellation does not retroactively cancel or refund an already paid billing period. Cancellation and refund are two different things: cancellation prevents a future renewal, while a refund is the repayment of an amount already charged.
4. Access after cancellation
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the already paid billing period — the paid month for a monthly plan, or the paid year for an annual plan. You continue to have access to paid features and any remaining allowance of that period until that date, after which the subscription simply expires and does not renew. Access may end earlier only where it is lawfully terminated for a material breach or on another applicable contractual or legal ground.
5. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the payment and notify you by email. If payment cannot be collected, access to paid features may be suspended until a valid payment method is provided.
6. Price changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any change will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing period after the notice period ends.
7. Feature changes
The features included in each plan may evolve over time. We may add, remove or modify features, provided that the overall value of your plan is not materially reduced during a paid billing period.
8. Refunds
Once paid access has been activated or made available, subscription payments are generally not refunded voluntarily. Full details, including the treatment of technical faults attributable to ASA, are set out in our Delivery & Refunds policy. Mandatory statutory consumer rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
9. Taxes
Prices on our website and in our plan overviews are net prices shown exclusive of applicable taxes. Where tax applies, ASA determines the applicable tax country and calculates the applicable tax on its own systems and adds it to the net price. Before you complete payment, the checkout shows the net amount, the tax type and rate, the tax amount and the total gross amount actually payable. The advertised net price is therefore not automatically the final amount charged.
